Need for Universal Sign language Dictionary for hearing impaired persons stressed.

KARACHI -- Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh on Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar has said that a Universal and Comprehensive Sign Language Dictionary for hearing impaired persons is need of the hour so that they can communicate easily.

This he said while visiting a Deaf Reach School and Training Center here on Thursday, said a statement.

He said that they are closing working with organizations for the the welfare of the hearing impaired persons.

He said that they are also working on how to provide them driving license.

He told them that a lot of homework has been done and they agree in close contact with the Sindh Home Department and Sindh Traffic Police to accommodate hearing impaired persons for issuance of driving license.

He expressed his hope that very soon they (hearing impaired persons) would get a good news.
