Naveed directs discos to cut power supply on non-payment.

ISLAMABAD, March 30, 2012 (Frontier Star): Federal Minister for Water and Power Syed Naveed Qamar has directed power supplying companies to disconnect power connection without any discrimination, both in the public and private sectors, in case of non-payment of bills and take strict measures for recovery of dues. He stated this while presiding over a meeting of the Discos held here on Thursday to review their performance and recovery. Acting Secretary, MD NTDC and CEOs of all the Discos attended, said a press release. While taking serious notice of un-metered power supply to some of the provincial and municipal government offices in Sindh, he asked the CEOs of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company and Sukkur Electric Supply Company to install meters there, otherwise disconnect the power supply.
