Native American Health Center and East Bay Asian Local Development Corp. Announce Grand Opening of New Clinic and Housing Project in Oakland.

The Native American Health Center (NAHC) and East Bay Asian Local Development Corp. (EBALDC) are celebrating the Grand Opening of the Seven Directions Healthcare and Affordable Housing facility on International Boulevard in the heart of Oakland's Fruitvale district.

This $27-million-dollar project will bring a new state-of-the-art medical and dental clinic, 36 units of affordable family housing and an outdoor community ceremonial space to Oakland.

Designed to serve the healthcare and housing needs of the Fruitvale community and the more than 50,000 Native Americans in the Bay Area, this project is the first Urban Indian Health Center in the nation that combines primary care, housing and cultural components all under one roof.

Confirmed speakers at the event include Ignacio de la Fuente, Oakland City Council President and Alameda County Supervisor Alice Lai-Bitker. Participation is also being confirmed for Donna Gambrell, Director of the U.S. Treasury's Community Development Financial Institutions Fund from Washington D.C.
