National basketball team beats Jordan in Arab Championship.

By: Egypt Today staff CAIRO -- 7 August 2017 - The national women's basketball team defeated Jordan 97-52 on Monday in the third round of the Arab Championship held at Cairo International Stadium from August 5-10. The team had a great 114-51 victory over Iraq in the first round, then victory over Tunisia in the second round with a score of 65-60. The tournament contains four teams: Egypt, the UAE, Tunisia and Iraq. The participating teams will rest on Tuesday, with the first to play fourth and second with the third in the semi-finals on Wednesday, while the curtain falls on Thursday, when the losers in the semi-finals will play for the bronze medal, while the winners play for first place and the gold medal.
