National Workshop on Livestock, Poultry" begins at UVAS.

LAHORE -- Department of Pathology of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore in collaboration with Higher Education Commission HEC Islamabad, organised a threeday workshop on "Recent Advances in Necropsy practice in Livestock and Poultry and its vetrolegal implications" which began here on Wednesday.

Exprinciple Jhang veterinary collage and senior Pathologist Prof Dr Ashiq Hussain Cheema chaired the inaugural session of the workshop, Prof Dr Khushi Mohammad, Prof Dr Asim Aslam, Dr Ahrar Ahmad Khan, Dr Yaseen Tipu and a large number of UVAS faculty members and participants come from all over the Pakistan presented on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Asim Aslam described about the objectives of the workshop. He said workshop was to acquaint the field veterinarians from public and private sector with hands on training of conventional and advanced postmortem techniques in domestic as well as wild animals.

This will also include expert opinions on forensic and vetrolegal aspects of the postmortem examinations.
