National Day of Italy marked.
This year, Italy's National Day, 2nd June, marked the 70th Anniversary of the Italian Republic and was celebrated in the Open Theatre square of the Macedonian Opera and Ballet, on which occasion models of some of the best-known Italian automotive brands such as Maserati, Ducati, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi were also displayed, proudly presenting Italian technology and design. On that occasion and in the presence of the Macedonian Ministers of Defense and Culture as well as other Macedonian officials, representatives of the academic, ecclesiastic, artistic and business worlds, the diplomatic corps in the country, etc. Ambassador Bellelli presented the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikola Poposki, with the oldest order of Knighthood of the Italian Republic of the highest rank, Grand Officer of the Order of the Star of Italy, for his contribution to the promotion of the exemplary bilateral cooperation between two countries. Ambassador Bellelli highlighted the importance that Italy attributes to the Euro-Atlantic perspective of Macedonia and the benefit for both the European region and the country. The performance by the Military Orchestra of the Macedonian Army of both national anthems and a selection of famous Italian film scores added special charm to the evening.
