Nation's Leading Real Estate Information Service, COMPS InfoSystems, Now Available in Orange, Osceola and Seminole Counties.

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 11, 1997--COMPS InfoSystems Inc. (COMPS), the nation's leading comparable real estate information service, is now providing confirmed sales transaction information for Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties in Florida, announced Christopher A. Crane, president and chief executive officer of the information provider, headquartered here.

He reported that, in introducing COMPS to the greater Orlando area in November, the company has purchased DeedScan's historical database and copyrights to sales comparables dating to January 1995 for Orange County and January 1996 for Seminole County.

In addition to DeedScan's sales information for the above-stated periods, COMPS' coverage will now include confirmed comparables for commercial and multifamily properties selling for $250,000 or more that closed on or after July 1, 1997. COMPS also will provide comprehensive data on properties valued at $500,000 or more that recorded on or after Jan. 1, 1997.

Each individual COMPS property profile provides in-depth information, including a color photo, last recorded sales price, property profile of 50-plus criteria, ownership history, financing, lenders and brokers, and supplemental data.

COMPS real estate information includes comprehensive information on an array of commercial, industrial and multifamily residential properties, hotel/motel and specialty properties, as well as land for development.

The research on sales comparables is invaluable to lenders, brokers, appraisers, investors and corporate real estate executives, who use COMPS' confirmed data to research property comparables, identify market trends, expedite the appraisal process and support valuations.

According to Michael Davis, former president of DeedScan, who has resumed his career as a broker in the tourist/commercial sector in the Orlando area, COMPS brings expanded capability to the Florida market.

"We have reviewed COMPS' products and have found them to be superior in every respect," he said, citing the quality of the data, its comprehensiveness and accuracy. "COMPS is unsurpassed in real estate database publishing. With information accessible both on disk and through the Internet, COMPS has the information technology to provide unequaled service. I have recommended that all former DeedScan clients take advantage of this fabulous new resource."

COMPS InfoSystems employs 120 researchers who compile in-depth profiles on confirmed property sales transactions nationwide. The result is the nation's first fully integrated and most accurate database on office, industrial, retail, apartment, mobile home and hotel/motel transactions, as well as land for industrial, commercial and residential purposes.

In researching each confirmed transaction, COMPS' team of researchers and analysts painstakingly follow a rigorous seven-step research process to gain and confirm real estate transaction information. The result is a database of thorough, accurate and timely information.

In addition to its subscription and ad-hoc real estate information services, COMPS offers an array of custom research and database consulting services.

According to Crane, COMPS will add the Tampa/St. Petersburg and greater Miami markets in early 1998. "We are excited about our expansion into Florida," he said. "We recognized a distinct market need for our confirmed real estate information because of the state's vibrant economy and strong market conditions."

He said that the products and services COMPS provides are customized to clients' needs, allowing subscribers to access information via COMPSLink Windows 2.0, through the Internet with E-Comps and through CallCOMPS, an ad-hoc delivery vehicle.
