British government backed lender Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) on Wednesday reported that Natwest has opened a new branch in Milton Keynes's Intu shopping centre.

The new branch is one of four NatWest branches across the UK which will be open seven days a week, in an effort to serve customers when it is convenient to them.

Included in the new branch will be a number of banking facilities which use new technology, including a Cash & Deposit machine where customers can pay in notes, cheques and coins swifty. Business customers will also be able to access an automated deposit machine, which means they will no longer have to queue to pay in coinage.

Natwest's new branch was officially opened on Friday 26 February, when Ben Reeves of English Championship football team MK Dons cut the ribbon, in front of NatWest Milton Keynes staff and customers along with local charity Wilen Hospice.
