This textbook is well organized and filled with useful teaching tools, including many lengthy case studies, questions, and scenarios to test concepts described in the chapter. The 51 chapters are grouped into sections covering preparation, airway, patient assessment, trauma, medical, special considerations, and operations. As an example of the thorough coverage of the text, the chapter topics include the paramedic's well-being, human development, patient communication, toxicology, obstetrics, and terrorism.
