Nancy (Callahan) Pignarre.
She leaves her daughter, Michle Pignarre Wronski, wife of Michael S. Wronski, and her granddaughter, Sofia Wronski all of Philadelphia, PA, and nephews and nieces throughout New England. She was predeceased by her husband, Edouard Georges Pignarre; her brothers, Charles and Frank Callahan and her sisters, Margaret (Callahan) Kelleher and Susanne Callahan.
She was born on November 14, 1918 in Worcester MA, the daughter of Charles Martin and Anna (Rogers) Callahan and was a 1940 graduate of Trinity College in Washington, D.C. After over 30 years in service to the U.S. government in Europe, she and her husband settled in Washington D.C. Following her retirement, she worked for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) until her return to the Worcester area in 2005. While in Washington, she was a weekly volunteer at S.O.M.E (So Others May Eat). She was a member of Saint Louis de France, the French-speaking parish of Washington.
The family would like to thank the staff at Whitney Place in Westborough for the wonderful care they provided and their sincere compassion.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, August 26 at 10AM in the Cathedral of St. Paul's, 15 Chatham St. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. There are no visiting hours. Flowers must be omitted.
