Nana Addo Boamang Declared Owner Of Nahinso Lands.

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has declared Nana Addo Boamang, chief of Nahinso, as the caretaker of Nahinso lands.

The Queen mother of Akokofe, Nana Amankwaah, has since 1993 claimed ownership of Nahinso lands, believing that the land was gifted to her by her husband.

But upon investigation by a committee of chiefs appointed by Otumfuo, the Ashanti overlord on Tuesday March 21, 2019, ruled that the claims by the Akokofe Obaapanin was not right and declared the chief of Nahinso, Nana Addo Boamang, as the rightful owner.

The resolution of the dispute thus brings to an end the incessant attacks by land guards on prospective developers on the said lands at the alleged instance of the queen mother, in an attempt to safeguard her interest.
