Name change.

Pipes & Fittings, the business unit of Tessenderlo Group, has changed its name in English and French to 'Plastic Pipe Systems' and 'Systemes de Canalisations Plastiques'. Its Dutch name remains unchanged.

According to new managing director, Hans Telgen, the unit will now focus on building up operations in Western Europe, especially in Belgium, France, Holland and the UK. "Synergies between the various locations will be strengthened and the range of products will be expanded in order to complete the existing range of plastic pipe systems," says Telgen. "Additionally development of operations in Central Europe will be accelerated using the existing plants in Poland and the Czech Republic."

Plastic Pipe Systems is part of Tessenderlo's Plastics Converting group and produces complete pipe systems in PVC, PE and PP for a range of applications including water supply, drainage, gas and telecommunications.
