Nagpur residents welcome Union Budget.
The Budget proposed four more AIIMS to be set up in Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Vidharbha and Purvanchal with allocation of Rs 500 crore.
Commenting on this, a Nagpur resident told ANI, "Budget has directly focused on two major issues. In central India we have major health related issues. Opening of Institutes like AIIMS in four other states is a step welcomed. People belonging to lower class will benefit the most from it."
He added, "Union Minister has made it clear where we need FDI and where we don't."
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley also said in the Union Budget that the government proposes to spend Rs 150 crores on new schemes to improve safety of women in big cities.
On this proposal, a lady from Nagpur told ANI, "For the first time some amount has been proposed to be spent on women safety. I welcome this decision taken by the government."
The Finance Minister also announced a number of other measures including Rs 7060 crores allocated by government for developing smart cities, launching Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Yojana as well as allocating Rs 200 crores for Sardar Patel's statue.
A sum of Rs 100 crore has also been allocated for Metro Projects in Lucknow and Ahmedabad. ( ANI )
