Nadine America-bound to win nursery care prize.

A NURSERY assistant from mid-Wales has flown to the United States to receive a top European award from her international employer.

Nadine Wiltshire, 21, of Llanbadarn, Aberystwyth, will collect the Janice Hill Memorial Award from Bright Horizons Family Solutions (BHFS) at a leadership conference in Phoenix, Arizona.

The award honours BHFS staff in the US and Europe who have demonstrated dedication to their nursery and the profession of early childhood education.

Modern apprentice Miss Wiltshire, who was nominated by parents, staff members, clients and her NVQassessor, was judged the best in Europe, where the company employs 1,600 people at 150 nurseries.

Joining here will be her boss, Emma Healy, manager of Plas Gogerddan Nursery - managed by BHFS at the Institute of Grassland and Environmental Research, Aberystwyth.
