NYS Realtors raise $ for charity.

The New York State Association of REALTORS, Inc. (NYSAR) "Night at the Races" benefit has raised over $6,000 for Camp Good Days and Special Times.

Camp Good Days, located on Keuka Lake, was started in August 1990 by Gary Mervis of Rochester, New York, whose daughter, Teddi, died of a brain tumor. The camp relies solely on donations and contributions from concerned citizens and organizations and provides a camping experience and other programs for children with cancer or AIDS and their families.

"Our 'Night at the Races for Camp Good Days' at Saratoga Harness Raceway was an overwhelming success," said NYSAR President Jo Levine. "We had a wonderful time knowing we were here to help the children of Camp Good Days. None of this would have been possible without the generosity of our race sponsors."

Levine, a Realtor from Westchester County, said several Realtor boards and individual real estate offices sponsored races by donating $500 each to Camp Good Days. The sponsors included the county Realtor boards from Albany, Broome, Chenango, Finger Lakes, Genesse, Genesee Valley, Long Island, Niagara Falls, Rochester, Saratoga, Wayne, and Westchester. Sponsorships were also received from real estate offices representing: Realty USA of the Capital District, RE/MAX of New York Inc., and Rockland Realty/Better Homes & Gardens.

NYSAR and it's 50 local boards have raised over $350,000 for Camp Good Days over the last seven years.
