NYCREW's friendly get-together.

New York Commercial Real Estate Women's Network (NYCREW) will host a discussion by prominent architects, Rafael Pelli of Cesar Pelli & Associates, and Jason Abbey of Fox & Fowle Architects, focusing on the viability of environmentally-friendly buildings in New York City.

The discussion will take place at a NYCREW meeting on November 30 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. The event will take place at First American Title Insurance Company at 633 Third Avenue, 16th floor.

Messrs. Pelli and Abbey will discuss the pros and cons of developing or converting so-called "green" buildings, including a cost- benefit analysis of using green technology, an explanation of sick building syndrome and the resulting symptoms, and explore trends in this area through a review of new office and multifamily projects using these energy efficient systems and building methods. In addition, they will offer insights into the key elements of green design.

Guests are invited to register at www.nycrew.org by noon on Monday, November 29. Advance registration fees for members are $45; member walk-ins, $55; advance registration for non-members, $65; nonmember walk-ins, $75.
