NUCLEAR SUPPORT SERVICES, INC. REPORTS FIRST QUARTER RESULTS

CAMPBELLTOWN, Pa., Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Nuclear Support Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: NSSI) today reported continued profitability for its first quarter of fiscal year 1993 ending Dec. 31, 1992, posting net earnings of $122,217 or $.06 per share on revenues of $17,347,587.
This compared to a net loss of $30,175 or a $.01 per share loss on revenues of $17,274,179 for the same period last year after restatement giving effect to the adoption of Statement of Financial Accounting Standards No. 109, Accounting for Income Taxes, effective Oct. 1, 1991, which adjustment provided a benefit of $103,000 or $.05 per share for that period.
Joe C. Quick, chairman, president and chief executive officer said, "We are pleased with the results of this first fiscal reporting period, particularly as they relate to the financial recovery of our non-nuclear operations, HENZE SERVICES, Inc. which had experienced losses throughout most of fiscal year 1992 due to economic restraints on the markets it serves. Our nuclear operations, NSS NUMANCO, Inc., performed as anticipated during the first fiscal 1993 quarter with income from operations being positively affected by general and administrative expense reductions begun during fiscal year 1992."
Nuclear Support Services, Inc. is a leading company providing support and maintenance to the nuclear power, fossil fuel and processing industries.
