NTN ANNOUNCES 236 PERCENT INCREASE IN REVENUE FOR 1992

 HUDSON, Mass., March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- National Transaction Network, Inc., (NTN) today reported substantially improved revenues and earnings for 1992. Revenues and earnings for the year ended Dec. 31, 1992 were $8,609,082 and $175,328 respectively, compared to $2,558,718 and a loss of $2,330,532 for the year ended Dec. 31, 1991. Revenues and earnings for the three months ended Dec. 31, 1992 were $2,666,499 and $276,443 respectively, compared to $715,558 and a loss of $679,895 for the three months ended Dec. 31, 1991. Net earnings per share for the year ended Dec. 31, 1992 amounted to one cent compared to a loss of 7 cents per share for the year ended Dec. 31, 1991.
 "The 236 percent increase in revenue in 1992 is an indication of the Supermarket industry's reliance on NTN products and services to meet its needs for Electronic Payment Systems," noted Jeffrey B. Finestone, NTN's chairman and CEO. "We expect continued demand for NTN Electronic Payment Systems in Supermarkets throughout 1993 and have positioned our resources to take advantage of the increased opportunities in this market segment. In addition, we have begun to investigate the market for NTN Electronic Payments Systems in other retail segments. We believe these segments could represent an important area of future expansion for NTN."
 NTN, headquartered in Hudson, Mass., develops and markets software and systems for the Electronic Payment industry. Electronic Payment Systems allow retailers to automate the acceptance of various consumer payment mechanisms including credit cards, debit (ATM) cards, and paper and electronic checks at the check-out counter. NTN's products and systems are most often deployed in the Supermarket retail segment and are supported by a full line of value added services including system installation and training.
