NPO inaugurates training program on green productivity.

Islamabad -- National Productivity Organization (NPO), Ministry of Industries inaugurated a APO certified Workshop on Green Productivity. The session was inaugurated by Dr. Jamshed Khattak who is currently General Manager NPO. Participants from 30 different organizations are attending this program. Mr. Alex Yap Fung is a Malaysian International resource speaker who is conducting this session.

The objective of this workshop is to enrich senior trainers with the modern concepts and methodology of Green Productivity. The program will address challenges that arise in consulting problems. It will offer small and medium businesses a way to achieve a competitive advantage by doing better with less. It will therefore highlight a practical strategy to increase productivity and protect the environment simultaneously.

Green productivity is a dynamic strategy to harmonize economic growth and environmental protection for sustainable development. Green productivity uses a set of management tools, techniques and technologies to encourage innovation and a continuous cycle of productivity gains.

While speaking to one of our representative Mr. Aftab Masood who is currently Head of GPC NPO department said that Green Productivity focuses on productivity improvement and environmental protection, the central element of the GP methodology is the examination and re-evaluation of both production processes and products to reduce their environmental impacts and highlight ways to improve productivity and product quality.
