The BBC inevitably had a bucket-load thrown over it by its right-wing media enemies for having the audacity to be outbid by an American firm for future rights to show the Olympics.
What is the point of the BBC they wailed if they can't show the Olympic Games? Yet had they outbid the Americans they'd have been accused of wasting the taxpayers' money.
Let's have some honesty here, folks. Tell your readers why you feel the need to constantly demean the BBC.
It's not about who covers the Olympic Games. It's because you see yourselves as a rival company which resents its public subsidy and its impartiality, to such an extent the only way you feel it should survive is if every year it filmed its staff dying in The Hunger Games.
