NOVACARE OPENS NEW CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY FEATURES FORMER REHABILITATION PATIENTS

 KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- NovaCare, Inc. (NYSE: NOV) will host a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of its new corporate headquarters this Saturday featuring former patients and Philadelphia Mayor Edward G. Rendell.
 "This move is significant to us for two reasons," said John H. Foster, chairman and chief executive officer of NovaCare. "First, it will unite management in one location, resulting in increased efficiencies as we consolidate our efforts and streamline processes. It will also enhance our commitment to the community by enabling us to uniformly and more actively participate in local events and organizations."
 Former patients and friends will join Foster and company management in the formal ribbon-cutting. One patient underwent rehabilitation at NovaCare's Mountain View Rehabilitation Hospital for brain injury. Another is a Valley


Manor Nursing Center physical therapy patient. Krik Bauer, executive director of National Handicapped Sports, also will join the festivities.
 NovaCare, the nation's largest provider of medical rehabilitation services, treats more than 15,000 patients a day. Recently named the Delaware Valley's top emerging company by the Philadelphia Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, NovaCare was also ranked one of the nation's fastest growing companies by Fortune in 1991 and 1992 and by Financial World in 1992.
 The opening address will be given by Mr. Rendell, Mr. Foster and Francis Cash, president and chief operating officer. Festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. with the ribbon-cutting at 11 a.m. All activities will be held at the company's new headquarters located at 1016 West Ninth Avenue in King of Prussia. NovaCare was previously headquartered in Valley Forge.
