NOSTALGIA NETWORK ANNOUNCES MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT TO BROADCAST "COUNTRY, JAZZ AND GOSPEL" FOR AMERICANA NETWORK

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Nostalgia Network (NASDAQ: NNETC) today announced that it had signed a definitive contract with Americana Network to carry 15 hours per week of music programming, beginning April 3. This agreement, which marks the first time an established network has launched a start-up programming service on its own channel, will provide Nostalgia with new and distinctly different programs from its traditional fare. According to terms of the contract, both networks share ad revenues and use Nostalgia's marketing and affiliate sales staff to develop interest in the new programming. Nostalgia is receiving cash payments for these marketing services. In turn, Americana obtains access to Nostalgia's 14 million subscribers, who will view a mix of blue grass, folk, jazz, blues, country and gospel, originating from Branson, Missouri, which has recently become a rival to Nashville, the country music capital of the world.
In commenting on this contract, Michael E. Marcovsky, chairman and CEO of the company, stated, "This agreement breaks new ground for the cable industry. In the longer term, it represents combining our resources as strategic partners, and extends Nostalgia's reach into a marketplace that is currently unfriendly to new launches. At the present time, it gets Americana Network off to a jump start with access to Nostalgia's demographically suitable target audience."
The Nostalgia Network is the only 24 hour basic cable television service that targets the rapidly growing and increasingly affluent market of active adult Americans over 45 by offering entertainment, lifestyle and informational programming.
