NORWALK COMPANY SELECTS EASTERN STATES ASSOCIATES AS MARKETING SALES AGENT
 FOR ALTERNATE FUELS PRODUCTS
 NORWALK, Conn., Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Norwalk Company, Inc., a leader in the design and manufacture of natural gas vehicle (NGV) fueling systems, today announced the signing of an exclusive marketing and sales agreement with Eastern States Associates for the distribution of Norwalk's alternate fuels products.
 Arthur McCauley, chairman and president of Norwalk Company, and Edward Maxwell, president of Eastern States Associates, said that the agreement will enable customers in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states to go to one source for equipment, construction, installation of natural gas fueling systems and aftermarket coverage on a 24-hour basis.
 "Customers in this region are looking for solutions to the vehicle air quality issue," Maxwell said. "We are pleased to be representing this well known manufacturer. Norwalk has extensive natural gas experience and manufacturing and service facilities in close proximity to the customers."
 Eastern States Associates is a pre-eminent manufacturers' representative of fueling equipment for gasoline stations, vehicle fleets and oil companies. The company is headquartered in Norwalk and has nine regional sales offices. During the past decade, Eastern States has sold and installed more than 30,000 underground fueling storage systems.
 Norwalk Company, located in South Norwalk, Conn., since 1864, is an original equipment manufacturer of compressors for various molecular- weight gases. Norwalk is recognized internationally as the foremost provider of natural gas fueling equipment. It serves the petrochemical, specialty gas and alternate fuel industries around the world.
 Norwalk Company entered the compressed natural gas market in 1973 with a range of equipment designed and engineered specifically for use in NGV fueling stations. To date, more than 400 units have been sold and installed worldwide.
 Norwalk and Eastern States envision their marketing and sales agreement assisting oil companies, fleet users and natural gas suppliers in the task of reducing vehicle emissions and operating costs and reducing dependency on foreign oil.
