NORTHWEST AIRLINES TO ACCEPT MIDWAY AIRLINES TICKETS ST. PAUL, Minn., Nov. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Northwest Airlines said it
will accept tickets purchased on Midway Airlines, which ceased operations Wednesday at midnight.
"We appreciate the difficult position Midway passengers are in and want to help them keep their leisure or business travel plans," said John Temple, vice president-product marketing. Northwest will book Midway passengers on a confirmed basis in "K" class. If seats in K class are not available, Northwest will accommodate passengers on a stand-by basis. Northwest will also accept on a confirmed basis in K class frequent flier or other complementary tickets if passengers have already begun their travels. In addition, Northwest will accept on a stand-by basis any Midway employees returning home from travel. Northwest will not accept free tickets from passengers or Midway employees who have not yet originated travel. Northwest will accept Midway-validated tickets for Northwest flights for confirmed space on Northwest. Northwest will also accept Northwest- validated tickets for Midway flights on a confirmed basis on Northwest. Midway passengers must book travel on Northwest on or before Nov. 20, 1991.
