NORTHWEST AIRLINES EMPLOYEES VOLUNTEER TO HELP ST. LOUIS FLOOD VICTIMS

 MINNEAPOLIS, July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Northwest Airlines employees will fly to St. Louis tomorrow to help the Salvation Army in its efforts to assist flood victims there.
 More than 70 employees have given up their time to help load, unload, sort and distribute consumer goods that have been donated to the Salvation Army as well as sandbag a local levee near the warehouse.
 Last weekend, Northwest flew more than 120 local area residents to both Des Moines, Iowa, and St. Louis to help in the clean-up and flood relief efforts.
 Employees will fly to St. Louis early Sunday morning and return later that evening. Flight 591 departs Minneapolis at 7:35 a.m. arriving in St. Louis at 9:08 a.m. Flight 596 leaves St. Louis at 8 p.m. arriving in Minneapolis at 9:30 p.m.
 "The response from employees shows their concern for others in need," said Christopher Clouser, senior vice president corporate communications, advertising, human resources and quality. "They have given of their free time unselfishly and shown their truly caring spirit."
