NORTHSTAR COMPUTER FORMS REPORTS RECORD FIRST QUARTER SALES
MINNEAPOLIS, March 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Northstar Computer Forms, Inc. (NASDAQ: NSCF) announced record sales of $4,548,227 for the first quarter ended Jan. 31, 1992, an increase of 15.1 percent from $3,951,285 the prior year. Net income rose 209.6 percent from $52,717 to $163,185. Earnings per share were $.13 compared to 1991 first quarter of $.04.
Northstar reported the favorable results were due to market segmentation and production efficiencies. "Profits continue to be affected by recessionary pricing competition but our marketing and production efforts in printing forms for the financial industry have proven to be effective strategy."
Northstar is celebrating its 30th anniversary in providing business forms to the five state region surrounding Minnesota. Its wholly owned subsidiary, General Financial Supply, is the largest national supplier of internal bank forms to the distributor trade with plants in three states. The company also has a short run continuous forms division in Minneapolis and a special short run unit set division in Milwaukee.
