NORTHERN ALLIANCE.

CARLISLE City are still being frustrated by both the English and Scottish FA in their efforts to gain international clearance for Tom Lucock ahead of their game at Ashington Colliers.

The player has re-signed from Lowland League Gretna but the move is still tied up in red tape, while centre-half David Fisher should return after missing last week's game.

Colliers' skipper Lee Harker and goalkeeper Craig Towart return with manager David Brown hoping to select from his strongest squad of the season.

Shankhouse assistant manager Ian Douglas and player Chris Rue are in charge during boss Johnny Wilson's absence for the trip to Blyth Town.

Fresh following last week off, Shankhouse welcome back Anth Moran, Niall Younger and Peter Snowden to the fold but Paul Haxon is suspended following his recent misdemeanour at Wallington.

Seaton Delaval travel to Wallington and expected their new signings - ex-St Johnstone player Ryan Hutchinson and former Blyth Town players Joe Besford and Jason Ritchie - to be involved.

It is not just on the pitch where Mick Jeffels has strengthened, however, but off it as well bringing ex-Jarrow Roofing manager Paul Bennett and Andrew Wood to work alongside him.

Jeffels said: "Of all the signings these two could prove to be the best."

Darren Walsh is back from injury and will line up in Percy Main's attack against Northbank Carlisle.

Jordan Miller is free from suspension and will compete for a place in his side's midfield.

However, manager Shaun Galbraith will have to reckon without the injured Micky Haley and last season's Player of the Year, Ryan Laws. JON TAIT
