NORTH COAST ENERGY ANNOUNCES THE FORMATION OF ITS SECOND DRILLING PROGRAM IN CALENDAR 1993

 CLEVELAND, Nov. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- North Coast Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: NCEB) today announced the oversubscription and closing of its 1993-2 Appalachian Private Drilling Program. This is the second of three drilling programs in 1993 offered by North Coast Energy and brings to 41 wells drilled or scheduled for drilling by the company and its investor partners.
 Commenting on the announcement, Garry Regan, North Coast's president stated, "Since the first week in September we have had three rigs contracted to drill our 1993 program wells. Based on the current number of wells committed and the prospects for the year-end program we should continue running three rigs through the end of March 1994. The Company's natural gas and oil production has already increased 34 percent during the March to September period. North Coast owns a 30 percent interest in the 41 additional wells already committed and interest is running high for the year-end projects. As we enter the peak demand season for natural gas, we are very optimistic about further increases in gas production and revenues."
