NORSTAN TO DISTRIBUTE, INSTALL AND SERVICE CLI'S NEW eclipse VIDEOCONFERENCING PRODUCT

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Norstan, Inc. (NASDAQ: NRRD) announced today that it will sell, install and service the eclipse, the new line of Compression Labs, Inc.'s (CLI) videoconferencing product in those areas of the United States and Canada that Norstan serves.
Earlier today, CLI unveiled its new eclipse videoconferencing product priced at between $15,000 and $20,000. The eclipse is described by CLI as, " ... the first complete, full-featured videoconferencing system priced in the same range as copiers and workstations ... "
Steve Hatcher, Norstan's director of network products, said, "The new CLI eclipse product will greatly expand the use of videoconferencing. Norstan itself has already placed an order for 10 eclipse units to augment the Gallery systems we already have in use. The new eclipse will allow smaller companies to afford this revolutionary technology and will allow larger customers to purchase more videoconferencing units."
Norstan and CLI are negotiating for Norstan to become the sole installer and service provider in North America for CLI's Gallery line of videoconferencing products and multi-point control units.
Norstan, Inc., based in Maple Grove, Minn., is a full range provider of communications solutions including business telephone systems, videoconferencing equipment, long distance services and voice processing products and services. The company has approximately 1,500 employees and serves all, or parts of 18 states and Canada and has nearly 12,500 customers.
