 NORSTAN COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF SIEMENS' TEL PLUS OFFICES
 MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Norstan, Inc. (NASDAQ: NRRD) today announced that it has completed the acquisition of five offices from Tel Plus Communications, a Siemens Company. In addition to the operations in Minneapolis, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus and New Orleans that were previously identified, Norstan has also acquired Tel Plus customers in Phoenix; Toledo, Ohio; western Pennsylvania; West Virginia and New Mexico. The acquisition of these Tel Plus offices has strengthened Norstan's market position and penetration in these regions.
 Under the contract, Norstan has acquired 1,300 new customers as well as outstanding proposals, service agreements and certain Tel Plus inventories. In addition, Norstan has hired more than 30 people who were employed at these Tel Plus offices. No other terms of the agreement have been released.
 Norstan's Chief Executive Officer, Paul Baszucki, said, "This agreement with Tel Plus and Sienmens is further evidence that Norstan has positioned itself as the leading independent distributor of telecommunications equipment and services in the country. Norstan's continued growth, expansion and profitability will make our company even more attractive to manufacturers looking for alternative ways to distribute their telecommunications products."

The company has 1,300 employees and serves all, or parts of 18 states and nearly 10,000 customers.
