NORSTAN CANADA TO DISTRIBUTE OCTEL COMMUNICATIONS' VOICE INFORMATION PROCESSING EQUIPMENT

 TORONTO, May 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Norstan Canada Inc. today announced that it has signed a contract with Octel Communications Canada, Inc., to distribute that company's full line of voice information processing equipment in Canada.
 Under the terms of the agreement, Norstan Canada will sell and support Octel's voice information processing systems including Octel's PowerCall(TM) applications such as TransAct(TM), FaxCall(TM), and its recently announced FaxAgent(TM) throughout Canada. Octel systems allow business users to listen and respond to voice messages, send and receive facsimiles and access database information through a single touch-tone telephone call. Norstan Canada's parent company, Norstan, Inc. (NASDAQ: NRRD), has been a distributor of Octel equipment in the United States since 1991.
