NO PRIDE IN POACHING.

Is it wrong to rejoice in the gruesome death of a man? I must confess I was happy when I read your story of the suspected poacher being devoured by a pride of lions in South Africa (February 13). What next? Elephants getting tough and steamrollering ivory poachers? That might be a bit of a stretch, but I live in hope.

I read with interest the letter from Malcolm Dowd complaining about the additional charges on his Thomas Cook flight (#Madeuthink, Feb 12). I suffer with respiratory illnesses and need oxygen to fly, for which Thomas Cook charge PS100. Last year, I flew with TUI which provides the same service for free. Time there was some form of standardisation.

Regarding the article on police asking for more funding to search for Madeleine McCann (Mirror, Feb 13), I feel the Government should prioritise funding for emergency services to protect us. If the police and the McCanns want to carry on the search, they should use their funds.
