NO MORE THREE STOOGES RE-RUNS -- FANS CAN NOW SEE THE REAL THING

WHAT: Those finger poking, bad hair day, "N'yuk, n'yuk n'yuksters," better known as the Three Stooges, are back! Only now, some 60 years after the original trio began rattling funny bones, the New Three Stooges are lead by an actual descendant of the House of Stooge, Jeffrey Scott, Moe Howard's grandson.
Scott has just signed a deal with the MGM Grand Hotel, Casino & Theme Park to have the trio perform live at the new billion dollar Las Vegas property in early 1994; there is a movie deal with Columbia Pictures; and a kid's show, "Wee Stooges," is in development.
The media are invited to get a glimpse of their shtick and to speak with Scott regarding the resurgence of Stooge-mania.
WHERE AND WHEN: Jeffrey Scott will be in New York City from Monday, June 14 through Thursday, June 17. He is available to schedule media interviews at a mutually convenient time Monday, June 14 and Tuesday, June 15.
He is also available for interviews during the Licensing '93 Show at the New York Hilton & Towers (1335 Avenue of the Americas between 53rd and 54th Streets) Wednesday, June 16 and Thursday, June 17 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at booth No. 503.
BACKGROUND: The evolution of the comedy team known as The Three Stooges began in 1922 when Moe Howard and his brother, Shemp, joined comedian Ted Healy as part of Healy's vaudeville act. After several cast changes, the group best known as The Three Stooges, including Moe Howard, his brother Jerome "Curly" Howard, and Larry Fine, signed with Columbia Pictures in 1934. From there they propelled to comic stardom, producing 190 two-reel films for the studio.
Jeffrey Scott, a three time Emmy Award-winning writer and performer, is following in his grandfather's footsteps and is bringing the funny antics of the Three Stooges back to life.
