NJ group re-organizes.

The New Jersey Council of the Multi-Housing Industry has changed its name to the New Jersey Apartment Association to reflect a reorganization of its board.

Norman Feinstein, president Of the New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA), said the change was the result of a series of planning and assessment meetings attended by members of the organization over the last several months.

The Executive Committee of the New Jersey Apartment Association:

* President: Norman Feinstein of First Real Estate Equities

* Vice President Legal/Legislative Affairs: Mark Rosen of The Solomon Organization

* Vice President Member Services: David Burr of The Value Group

* Vice President Programming: Joy Galik of Cronheim Mortgage Services

* Vice President Public Affairs: Jerome Lombardo of CJ Lombardo Co.

* Vice President Environmental Regulatory Affairs: Anthony Richards of Corsa Management

* Vice President Associate Affairs: Joseph Collins of CALECO

* Treasurer: Michael Goldberg of Goldberg Realty

* Secretary: Peter Weidhorn of WNY Management Corp.

The new executive board Structure provides more flexibility in replacing board members and preparing prospective leadership, according to Feinstein.

Past presidents will remain on the board under the new plan. The Board of Directors al80 approved a motion to make Martin Adler, Chester Frankel and Samuel Sodowick Life Directors, a new position. In addition to its public affairs and lobbying work, the New Jersey Apartment Association sponsors a number of events and programs. Its Conference and Exposition in May provides members with access to widely known real estate and economic experts and elected officials. The Conferences' seminars, speeches and workshops are an unmatched resource for owners and operators of apartment buildings in New Jersey.

The Exposition portion of the event attracts dozens of real estate service organizations as exhibitors. For more information on this event, scheduled for May 5, 6, and 7 at the Sands Hotel in Atlantic City, please call Sheri DeMarco at (908) 247-6661.
