NISSAN AND INFINITI MODELS RECOGNIZED AS 'BEST OVERALL VALUES' BY INDEPENDENT RESEARCH FIRM

 LOS ANGELES, Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Two Nissan vehicles and one Infiniti model were singled out as "Best Overall Values" in a study released today by IntelliChoice Inc., an independent automotive product information company that evaluated more than 800 models of 1993 cars and light trucks.
 Nissan Motor Corp. U.S.A. led all other manufacturers by capturing the top spot in three of eight product categories. The winning Nissan and Infiniti vehicles are the following:
 -- Infiniti G20 luxury sports sedan, "Best Import Car Value Over
 $13,000";
 -- Nissan Pathfinder SE-V6 sport utility, "Best Import Truck
 Value Over $13,000"; and
 -- Nissan Standard Cab 4x2 Truck, "Best Import Truck Value under
 $13,000."
 In addition, several other Nissan and Infiniti vehicles were recognized by IntelliChoice as among the "Best Values" in their categories, including the Nissan Standard Cab 4x4 Truck (small standard pickup category); the 240SX (subcompact); the Sentra E (subcompact); and the Infiniti Q45 (luxury car over $40,000).
 In determining the winning vehicles, IntelliChoice researched the cost of ownership of all makes of cars, light trucks and sport utility vehicles projected over a five-year period. The winning vehicles were determined to offer the best value in relation to the vehicle's purchase price and ownership costs (based on such factors as resale value, insurance, financing, fuel and maintenance).
 The award winners will be featured in IntelliChoice's seventh annual editions of "The Complete Car Cost Guide" and "The Complete Small Truck Cost Guide," which go on sale today.
 "These awards are a strong testament to our efforts to build the highest-quality vehicles at a fair price," said Thomas D. Mignanelli, president and chief executive officer, Nissan Motor Corp. U.S.A. "All Nissan and Infiniti models, including our newest products, the Nissan Altima, Nissan Quest and Infiniti J30, offer customers outstanding quality and value."
 Nissan and Infiniti have received several accolades in recent months. Infiniti was named the No. 1 brand in J.D. Power and Associates' 1992 Initial Quality Study; and Nissan's Sentra SE-R and 300ZX were named to both Automobile Magazine's "All Star List" and Car and Driver's "10 Best List."
