NINVASION!; Race on to ship N64s to YOU.
Games giant Nintendo is frantically trying to get extra supplies of its new superconsole, the N64, shipped into Britain.Only 20,000 have been made available for today's UK launch and many of those were already ordered in advance by video games fans.
The N64 claims to be the most advanced games console. When it was launched in America last September it sold more in three days than all the Sega Saturns in the country.
"We have managed to secure another 30,000 N64s, which will arrive in three weeks," says Nintendo spokesman Alex Fitzgibbons.
"And Nintendo in Japan has agreed to airlift a further emergency 40,000 into the UK by April."
But rivals Sony, which has sold 750,000 PlayStations in Britain, say: "The PlayStation has more top quality games currently available than Nintendo can release in total over the coming year."
