NIMAC AMERICA, INC. PLANS STRONG TOHATSU EXHIBIT FOR "MOST IMPORTANT" BOAT SHOW IN FLORIDA

MIAMI, Fla., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- NIMAC America Inc., the Eastern United States distributor of Tohatsu outboard motors, recognizing the importance of its Florida-area business, will present the entire Tohatsu outboard line at the 1993 Miami International Boat Show this Feb. 11-17 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, booth number Y68. The Miami International Boat Show is in fact considered to be so important that Tohatsu's president, Mr. Isao Matsumoto, will be attending.
"The Tohatsu display at the Miami Boat Show is another significant step in our on-going program of promoting the Tohatsu name in our most important region," noted Tony Mincey, General Manager, NIMAC America, Inc. "And through NIMAC's awareness efforts and increased sales, we're pleased that Tohatsu is considered among the top five outboard motors today."
NIMAC's Tohatsu brand awareness campaign has included the donation of three Tohatsu outboard motors in June 1992 to the Tampa Police Marine Unit. The project was a real west central Florida-dealer effort as motors were donated by and installed by Tohatsu dealers Shafer's Boats in Pinellas Park, Bonanni Ship Supply in Tampa, and D'Angelo Marine & Parts also of Tampa.
In 1993, NIMAC embarked on its first regional advertising campaign in Florida. The Tohatsu ad placed by NIMAC America included 29 Florida dealers in three Florida regional fishing and boating publications.
NIMAC has also chosen the Miami Boat Show as the site to introduce its newest h.p. model, the 115. The 115 h.p. was specially designed for aluminum boat owners looking for maximum power. Customer and dealer feedback to NIMAC America was crucial in Tohatsu's decision to bring the 115 h.p. into production.
Also on display at the Miami Boat Show will be Tohatsu's 16 other models ranging from 2.5 h.p. to 140 h.p., and includes Tohatsu's 70B, a model only recently introduced into full U.S. distribution. Exclusive Tohatsu features on many models include an automixing oil system and dual-swirl combustion chamber heads. All Tohatsu motors feature five layer corrosion protection and a two-year limited warranty.
