NILS PUBLISHING OFFERS INSURANCE COMPLIANCE INFO VIA INTERNET.
Nils describes a "Web book" as a collection of INSource documents that answer a common question in compliance. They are single-state collections that are designed to deliver the statutes, regulations and related regulatory documents necessary to answer a specific question in insurance compliance. Nils said it expects to build and update more than 3000 Web book sites, using its proprietary system of cross-state subject indexing, to meet the needs of insurance professionals, major brokerages and their counsel. Nils said that multi-state Web books are also planned.
A prototype, sample Web book contains full text of statutes, regulations and related regulatory documents concerning the regulation of insurance activity on the Internet and covers multiple states. During the next few months, additional Web book prototypes will be launched on the Nils Web site (www.mils.com/webbook.htm). Nils said that, "in effect," each Web book "will deliver a pre-packaged, fully researched answer" to compliance questions. Web books to be launched this quarter include "Florida Automobile Insurance Verification Form/Proof of Coverage," "Utah Life Insurance Illustrations," and "Texas Life and Annuities Illustrations." Initial access is free. Subscription prices are to be announced.
