NIKON OFFERS TIPS FOR LOS ANGELES PHOTOGRAPHERS
MELVILLE, N.Y., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Both amateur and professional

photographers are constantly asking: Where can I take breathtaking photographs? In response, Nikon Inc., the world-renowed manufacturer of high-quality optics and cameras, has surveyed its professional staff and compiled the following list of Los Angeles locations perfect for picture taking:
-- City view from the Griffith Park Observatory -- especially at night.
-- Olvera Street and Union Station (exterior and interior).
-- The Getty Museum in Malibu.
-- South Coast Botannical Gardens in Rolling Hills (Palos Verdes).
-- Ports of Call Village at the L.A. Harbor.
If photographers want to learn more about the latest photography techniques and obtain the names of additional photo sites in the Los Angeles area, they can attend the Nikon School of Photography, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24, and Sunday, Oct. 25, at El Segundo High School, 640 Main St., El Segundo. Each day-long school runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuition is $75, which includes lunch and a variety of instructional materials.
"The need for expert instruction on the exciting new advancements in SLR photography has become readily apparent," said Richard Lopinto, division manager/marketing, Nikon Photo Group. "We hope that the Los Angeles School, whose instructors will address a variety of subjects, such as portrait, scenic, fine art and sports photography, will provide a valuable resource for both amateur and professional photographers," added LoPinto.
