NIELSEN PENS MULTI-YEAR DEAL WITH CPC/BEST FOODS; WILL PROVIDE MARKETING SOLUTIONS CONSULTING SERVICES FOR ALL NINE BEST FOODS CATEGORIES

 NORTHBROOK, Ill., Dec. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Nielsen North America today announced that CPC International's Best Foods Grocery Products Division has retained Nielsen as its information processing and marketing consulting partner, signing a multi-year contract.
 "We view Nielsen as more than a supplier that provides us with facts and figures. Nielsen is involved with us on a day-to-day basis in terms of sharing our problems, understanding our issues, and helping us in terms of solutions for those particular issues," said John L. Moorhead, vice president, marketing services, Best Foods.
 Under the terms of the agreement, Nielsen will continue to work with Best Foods Grocery Products to provide the information and consulting services necessary for success in the evolving grocery marketing industry. The nine categories Nielsen will work with are spoonables, peanut butter, salad and cooking oils, dry pasta, starch/fabric finish, cooking sprays, margarine, mustard and corn syrup.
