NICOLLET TECHNOLOGIES FINISHES PROFITABLE YEAR
NICOLLET TECHNOLOGIES FINISHES PROFITABLE YEAR MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Nicollet Technologies, Inc., a
manufacturer of specialized telecommunications equipment, will finish its first profitable year at the end of 1991. Purchased in February by Advanced Communication Design, Inc. of Bloomington, Minn., the products of Nicollet Technologies include the DigiSmart(TM) line of handheld phone-line testers and the DigiTrap(TM) line of phone-line conversion systems.
"We have been quite pleased with the Nicollet products and their reputation in the marketplace," commented Marco Scibora, president of ACD. "This past year was spent digesting the new business and re- focusing the marketing efforts. 1992 will be the year we enhance the products and grow the business." DigiSmart testers continue to sell well into the Regional Bell Operating Companies (RBOCs), where they are used to troubleshoot various types of telephone circuits. Portability, ease of use, microprocessor control and relatively low cost make the DigiSmart test sets popular among technicians in the field. DigiTrap systems, on the other hand, are purchased for use in voice processing systems worldwide, from the U.S. and Canada to Italy and Australia. Their most common application is in capturing incoming phone numbers for voice mail service bureaus and large businesses with direct- dial telephones. According to Brian Follett, vice president of ACD, "These are quality, niche-market products that provide excellent value and have complemented our traditional products. They have been a real asset to this year's business." -0- 12/19/91 /CONTACT: Brian Follett of Advanced Communication Design, 612-854-3336/ CO: Nicollet Technologies, Inc.
