NIAMH JOY TRASHED BY CAR THUGS; Miss Ireland's tears after attack.
Niamh Redmond only had the Nissan Micra for six weeks before vandals attacked it outside a police station, causing pounds 2,000 damage.
They also stole her mobile phone, a portfolio of pictures and designer clothes worth thousands of pounds.
Tearful Niamh, 19, said last night: "I hope this is the end of all my bad luck. I can't take much more."
The attack comes just a month after Niamh was locked in a bitter row with new Miss Ireland organiser Kieran Murray, who refused to let her compete in the Miss Universe competition in Miami.
Instead, Murray sent Miss Limerick Fiona Mullaly.
Yesterday Drimnagh girl Niamh learned her insurance company would pay for the damage to her car but won't stump up for the stolen goods.
She has been forced to cancel an audition because she didn't have the necessary clothes and accessories.
Niamh said: "They took everything, all the clothes I got from winning Miss Ireland. If anybody out there could give me a dig-out, I'd be grateful."
Niamh had parked the car outside Maynooth garda station in County Kildare at the weekend before going out with pals from the college.
She said: "It was my pride and joy. I presumed it would be safe."
When she returned she found the vandals had broken into the vehicle, scattering underwear across the road.
Gardai later apprehended one of the gang and took him to another station for questioning.
While they were there, other gang members came back and attacked the car, denting the roof and bonnet, ripping off the mirrors and smashing the driver's side window.
