NHI refinancing nursing home for Inverness.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 22, 1994--National Health Investors, Inc., one of the nation's largest health care real estate investment trusts, said today that it has provided a $4.5 million mortgage to Inverness Health Care of Inverness, Fla.

The money was used to refinance the bond indebtedness on Heritage Health Care of Inverness, Fla. The 116-bed nursing home is managed by ACDM of Iowa. ACDM currently operates 28 nursing homes throughout Iowa and Florida.

"Inverness Health Care is doing a great job in its nursing homes and we are pleased to refinance this Florida project for them," NHI President Andy Adams said. "Many of the nation's elderly are retiring in Florida and the demand for nursing home beds in that state is increasing."

National Health Investors, Inc. is a real estate investment trust that specializes in the purchase and leaseback of health care real estate and in making mortgage loans to health care operators. The company has over $650 million in assets under its management. The common and preferred stocks of the company trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbols NHI and NHIPr, respectively.
