Cheryl Bezio-Gorham was appointed director of the Denver-based Colorado Association of Nonprofit Organizations Nonprofit Management Assistance Program. She most recently served as an independent consultant for the Colorado Council on the Arts.

Addy Bonet was recently appointed vice president, operations/executive director of the Vanderbilt YMCA in New York City. Bonet most recently served as interim vice president of operations and senior executive director of the Indian Boundary YMCA for the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago.

Peter M. Bryant is the new chief financial officer of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. He previously served as CFO for Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, Inc.

Nancy Buck was appointed director of development of The Grace Centers of Hope in Pontiac, Mich. She most recently served as director of development for Bishop Foley High School in Madison, Mich.

Peter Buijs was recently promoted to senior vice president for finance and administration, and chief financial officer of Atlanta-based CARE USA. He had been serving as the organization's controller before the promotion.

Isabel Carter Stewart was appointed executive director of the Chicago Foundation for Women. Carter previously served as chief executive officer of Girls Incorporated in New York City.

Carolyn Cronin was recently promoted to vice president of development of Prevent Blindness America in Schaumburg, Ill. Cronin had been serving as chief executive officer for the Illinois Division of Prevent Blindness America in Chicago.

John Dandurand is the new director of Coalitions and Connections of Denver-based Colorado Association of Nonprofit Organizations. Dandurand previously served as executive director for the Colorado Arts Consortium.

Donald Distasio was appointed chief executive officer of New York and New Jersey (the Eastern Division) of the American Cancer Society. Distasio was serving as chief operating officer for the division prior to the appointment.

Bruce M. Evans is the new executive vice president of the Abilene Christian University Foundation in Abilene, Texas. Formerly, Evans served as executive director for Herald of Truth Ministries, also in Abilene.

Daniel D. Garrett was recently appointed vice president of marketing and public affairs of Prevent Blindness America in Schaumburg, Ill. He was principal of Garrett & Associates prior to the appointment.

Alina Hua is the new development director of San Francisco-based Asian American Telecommunications Association. Hua most recently served as membership coordinator for Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy, also in San Francisco.

Judy Kearney was appointed fund development director of The Girl Scouts - Columbia River Council, Inc. in Lake Oswego, Ore. She previously served as director of development and communications for the Arc of Muitnomah County in Portland, Ore.

Daniel T. Keegan was appointed executive director of the San Jose Museum of Art in San Jose, Calif. Previously, Keegan served in the same capacity for the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City. Mo.

Roberta King was appointed chief executive officer of the Cleveland, Ohio-based Applewood Centers Inc. She previously served as chief executive of the Adult and Child Guidance Center in San Jose, Calif.

Michael Lozano is the new executive director of camping services of the YMCA of Greater New York. Lozano was the executive director of the Pilsen YMCA, in Chicago.

Maureen Mahoney was recently appointed major gifts officer of The Pittsburgh Foundation in Pittsburgh. Mahoney most recently served as director of development for the Women's Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, also in Pittsburgh.

Michelle Mason was appointed vice president of research programs of the American Society of Association Executives in Washington, D.C. Mason was serving as ASAE's director of research programs prior to the promotion.

Bruce Massey was appointed foundation officer of Abilene Christian University Foundation in Abilene, Texas. He previously served as property tax manager for Deloitte & Touche, also in Abilene.

Paula McElwee was hired executive director of United Cerebral Palsy of Central California in Fresno, Calif. McElwee previously served as director for Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas in Hays, Kan.

James Nealy is the new chief operating officer for the American Cancer Society's Eastern Division in North Brunswick, N.J. Nealy had been serving as the division's executive vice president prior to the appointment.

Eileen O'Connor was appointed executive director of the Brooklyn Central YMCA in New York City. Formerly, O'Connor served as associate executive director of the West Side YMCA, also in New York City.

Almundena Ocejo is the new policy researcher and analyst of Washington, D.C.-based The National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy. Ocejo most recently served as a consultant for the InterAmerican Development Bank, also in Washington, D.C.

Brian Payne was appointed president of Central Indiana Community Foundation in Indianapolis. Payne was managing director of the Indiana Repertory Theatre prior to the appointment.

Karl Robe was appointed director of public relations of the Alliance For Children & Families based in Milwaukee. Robe most recently headed the media relation's efforts for the organization.

Barron Segar is the new director of the Atlanta chapter of the U.S. Fund for UNICEE. He was director of small business services for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce prior to the hiring.

Michael B. Smith was recently appointed executive vice president of The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars in Washington, D.C. Smith was previously senior vice president for the organization.

Jeanne Taylor was hired as senior vice president, community health programs of WATTSHealth Systems, Inc. in Los Angeles. Taylor most recently served as assistant dean of ambulatory care and community health services in the division of biological sciences for The Pritzker School of Medicine, University of Chicago.

Norman O. Taylor is the new CEO of the United Way of The National Capital Area in Washington, D.C. He formerly served as federal campaign director for the United Way.

Karla D. Thomas is the new director of communications of Chicago-based Central Baptist Family Services. She formerly served as public relations consultant for Boys & Girls Clubs in Chicago.

Paul D. Wingle is the new executive director of the Connecticut Forest and Park Association in Middlefield, Conn. Wingle most recently served as director of the communications/legislative initiative for the Council on Foundations in Washington, D.C.

Mike Veitenhans was recently appointed gifts-in-kind director of World Vision, based in Tempe, Ariz. He was serving as program director of Brother to Brother International, a World Vision ministry also located in Tempe.

Judith A. Vagner was appointed senior vice president of St. Barnabas Health System in Gibsonia, Pa. She had been serving as vice president prior to the promotion.
