NEWS CONFERENCE TO DISCLOSE PUBLIX SUPERMARKETS' INEQUITABLE HIRING,
 LOCATIONAL POLICIES
 Florida Consumers Federation, Women, African American,
 Hispanic Leaders Organize to Pressure Publix to Change
 The Florida Consumers Federation and leaders of women's minority and community organizations will hold a press conference to reveal the findings of its survey of Publix Supermarket's store management and Publix's ability to serve African American and Hispanic neighborhoods. Florida Consumers Federation and this coalition believe that as Florida's largest private employer, Publix has a special responsibility to properly serve and provide equal opportunities for all segments of the state's population.
 The news conference will be held:
 -- Tuesday, June 23
 11 a.m.
 Publix store
 1100 Dunn Ave.
 Jacksonville (parking lot)
 Speaking at the press conference will be a representative of the Florida Consumers Federation. Also participating will be Bob Ingram, SCLC; Tony Hill, CBTU; Alice Gundlach, Central Labor Council; Willie Dennis, NAACP; the Rev. Henry Green, Greater Grant Memorial, A.M.E. Church; Dr. Danforth, Urban League; Lewis Carter III, director, Urban Center, Edward Waters College; and Ron Mattock, UFCW.
 Simultaneous press conferences will be held in Miami, St. Petersburg, Orlando and Tallahassee, Fla.
