THE Leading Wales Awards 2008 are to be launched at the North East Wales Institute of Higher Education, Wrexham, on October 18.

The scheme, set up and led by some of Wales' most influential organisations across the private, public and voluntary sectors, nurtures and encourages leadership.

Guest speaker Gregg Fray, Deputy Editor of the Daily Post, will talk about the successes of people of North Wales whose leadership has made a real difference.

Wales Management Council chief executive Christopher Ward will also give an address.
