NEWEST WARNER BROS. STUDIO STORE TO OPEN AT DEL AMO FASHION CENTER ON SEPT. 24

 BURBANK, Calif., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- The 35th Warner Bros. Studio Store, the first to be located in the South Bay area, will open at Del Amo Fashion Center on Sept. 24, 1993, it was announced today by Peter Starrett, president of Warner Bros. Worldwide Retail.
 Two 10 foot tall sculptures of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, dressed for the occasion in their top hats and tails, are poised to greet shoppers as they enter the new Del Amo Fashion Center Studio Store. Directly overhead, an audacious Bugs in aviator togs pilots a vintage plane with a 12-foot wing span in preparation for his next amazing aerial stunt.
 Warner Bros. Studio Stores are an innovative combination of retail merchandising and entertainment that presents exclusive Warner Bros. products to shoppers in a visually stimulating and entertaining environment reminiscent of a studio back lot.
 Inside the store, hundreds of high-quality products designed exclusively for the Studio Stores are offered to shoppers of all ages, from infants to adults. The grand array of merchandise ranges from clothing, toys and gift items emblazoned with Warner Bros. Studio insignias or animated characters to one-of-a-kind art objects in The Gallery, a shop-within-a-shop specializing in animation cels and contemporary collectibles.
 Each store is designed to reflect the glamour and excitement of Warner Bros., whose images and properties are among the most recognizable in the world, from Batman to Bugs Bunny. Incorporated in the multisensory environment are dramatic merchandise "sets" and an immense "Video Wall," which uses breakthrough technology in presenting a continuous program of feature film and animation clips.
 Interactive attractions for kids include the "Coloring Trees," where budding "cel artists" can computer-color animated scenes and Marvin the Martian's crawl-through rocket ship, loaded with imaginary space travel games and gadgets.
 With this latest opening, Warner Bros. Studio Stores takes another step closer to their expansion goal of 57 by year's end, including six in the United Kingdom. Located in select shopping areas, Warner Bros. Studio Stores have, since their premiere in the fall of 1991, exceeded all projected sales performance marks and drawn blockbuster repeat business in all age groups, defying a national slump that has plagued other retailers.
 The opening of the Del Amo Fashion Center store, which covers 8,600 square feet, brings to five the number of Studio Stores in Los Angeles County. The other stores are located at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles, Glendale Galleria in Glendale, Montclair Plaza in Montclair and Santa Monica place in Santa Monica.
