NEWEST RESTAURANT BREAKS COMPANY RECORDS

 LEXINGTON, Ky., Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Long John Silver's newest restaurant in Laurens, S.C., opened last week breaking company first day sales records. The restaurant not only broke sales records for opening day, but for the week, which beat the previous Long John Silver's record by $5,000.
 "We are tremendously pleased with the opening sales records set in Laurens and given our recent progress, recognize that this is a sign of things to come," said Clyde Culp, president and CEO of Long John Silver's. "It affirms our belief that Long John Silver's offers our guests a great tasting alternative to hamburgers and pizza.  Becky Jones, Long John Silvers' restaurant manager, said: "The people of Laurens have been outstanding, cooperative and best of all -- hungry. We knew that they were excited about Long John Silver's arrival here, but this response has far exceeded our expectations. Our guest counts show that an equivalent of over 20 percent of the total Laurens population is eating at our restaurant each day."
 The new Long John Silver's location employs 39 team members and has a seating capacity of 76.
