NEWBRIDGE RECEIVES ISO 9001 REGISTRATION

 KANATA, Canada, June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Newbridge Networks (NASDAQ-NMS: NNCFX) today announced that the Company's Kanata facility has successfully gained registration to the ISO 9001 Quality Assurance standard. After a rigorous assessment of its operations, the company was awarded the internationally recognized quality designation for design/development, production, installation and servicing functions related to its MainStreet family of digital networking products.
 Attainment of the ISO 9001 quality standard has become increasingly necessary as world markets demand that the methods of creating and building products are well established and repeated in a controlled manner. This registration shows that Newbridge has organized its activities to readily react to customers and to provide the necessary products and services for them.
 Newbridge is the youngest company in Canada to achieve this quality assurance registration at the ISO 9001 level.
 Achievement of ISO 9001 registration is an indication of the commitment Newbridge has made to become a leading vendor in the demanding global telecommunications industry.
