NEW TECHNOLOGY TOOLS WILL REVOLUTIONIZE AN INDUSTRY
AND PROVIDE INTERACTIVE 3-D MODELING AT PC PRICES
DEARBORN, Mich., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- "New technology tools will revolutionize an industry and provide interactive 3-D modeling at PC prices." This is the promise to be made by John Rowley, Spatial Technology's CEO, when he describes the importance of alliances in the '90s, specifically the "teaming efforts" between Microsoft and Intel. Rowley will be a featured speaker at an AUTOFACT '92 keynote address scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Cobo Center during the AUTOFACT '92 Conference and Exposition.
"Just as the general PC marketplace emerged during the early '80s, we will see component technologies in combination with the power and market force of Microsoft, literally change the landscape of the CAD/CAM/CAE industry during the '90's," according to Rowley. "With full 32-bit support now available for PC applications, we can bring interactive 3-D modeling to the masses at PC prices."
Joining Rowley as keynote speakers will be Mike Maples, executive vice president of Microsoft; and Dave House, vice president of corporate strategy of Intel.
The AUTOFACT '92 keynote address will provide a strategic update on Microsoft's Windows NT; Intel's 486, P5 and P6 technologies; and Spatial's ACIS/NT, ACIS for Windows, and ACIS Visual Basic. Find out how Windows/NT in combination with PCs and workstations will give the CAD/CAM/CAE community performance and applications inter-operability never before realized.
Windows/NT architecture and software infrastructure, coupled with high-performance 3-D modeling, will be demonstrated.
A continental breakfast (7 a.m.) will precede the AUTOFACT '92 keynote address (7:30 a.m.) at Cobo Center's Grand Ballroom. Cost is $30, payable on site beginning at 6:30 a.m., Nov. 10.
The AUTOFACT '92 Conference and Exposition is the largest international showcase of CAD/CAM, CAE and CIM.
Sponsored by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the AUTOFACT '92 Conference is Nov. 8-12, while the Exposition runs Nov. 10-12. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 10-11, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12.
